Coppola’s in Hyde Park is hands down my favorite spot for Italian comfort food just like my little old Nonna used to make. And the pizza easily rivals anything I’ve tasted so far anywhere in NY. But what I love most about this more than the flavorful authentic recipes of this family owned old school restaurant are the people. The owner personally welcomes you at the door and the servers are friendly, attentive and efficient. On top of all this they are autism friendly and go out of their way to make families with special needs kids feel comfortable and welcome. And I have to mention the prices are incredibly affordable for such high quality dishes and ingredients. I HIGHLY recommend Coppola’s!

This place seemed to be a local favorite. The standout dish for me was the Bistro Cheese Tortellini – a perfect balance of creamy cheese filling and al dente pasta, beautifully coated in a savory sauce. John spoke with us after our meal; very friendly and knowledgeable about food and the area. We ate dinner here more than once. First time was a banquet with thirty people; second time was an early dinner for the two of us. Each time food was served tasty and filling. The wait staff pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu.

The bolognese pasta was delicious. Such a great and authentic Italian food and the staff is kind at all times. The tiramisu is home made and was a masterpiece. Definitely a must to go Italian restaurant. Thanks for everything, guys!

Booked a last minute party. The food and service was on point. Mozzarella sticks and wings were fantastic! Staff were great! Will absolutely be back! Highly recommend!

Convenient location and nicely decorated. Full bar and spacious dining room. Clean bathroom and friendly waitstaff. The food is delicious and fairly priced. About three beers on draft. For dessert, waitstaff brings out an actual tray which displays samples of the cakes, mousses and pies available, which is every effective. In January 2023, the Dutchess County Libertarian Party convened at this location.

Quiet and comfortable surroundings with a good variety of good choices. Our party chose to order the personal pizzas. There were six large pieces of pie.. enough to fill a big appetite. We all went home with leftovers. I have eaten a lot of pizza in my days and this is one of the best tasting pies ever. The crust is not too thin yet not too thick. The flavors in the crust were rich with olive oil and garlic. I can’t say enough good about it. All the flavors were amazing. The service was very good. The people are friendly and attentive here. Don’t miss out on this little gem of a restaurant!

The owner greeted us and remembered us when we came back the next time, including what we ate. His father, at 90, still comes in every day to prepare his signature veal osso bucca. Make the trip up to Hude Park!
